Symposium 2018: A Short Walk to Phase IV

February 1st and 2nd, 2018, Dialogue McGill was hosting the Symposium 2018: A meeting of the Dialogue McGill Partners. With Phase 4 (2018-2023) fast approaching, this event was designed as a consultation with those on the front line charged with actualizing Dialogue McGill objectives: facilitating access by Quebec's English-speaking population to health and social services in their own language.

Day 1, February 1st, 2018 was dedicated to the Language Training Program. Through Anglais Santé, the McGill School of Continuing Studies plays a pivotal role within the program. The School invited the CISSS and CIUSSS respondents charged with coordinating the program within their institutions to a day of reflection and knowledge sharing on learning transfer in the workplace.

Day 2, February 2nd, 2018, entitled A Short Walk to Phase 4, focused on new orientations for the 2018-2023 Retention Program that will guide our actions during the next phase. A showcase was organized including a variety of projects and activities highlighting best practices and retention measures that have generated impact. Discussion followed each presentation. Participants included representatives from community networks and educational institutions partnering with Dialogue McGill. Being directly concerned with a number of subjects discussed, the CISSS and CIUSSS representatives were also invited to participate in this day.
