Bran Lopez, Maria-Josée [maria-josee.branlopez [at] mail.mcgill.ca (email)]

I'm interested in students’ transition from high school to CEGEP mathematics education. There are observable gaps once students take calculus, which could be due to a lack of pre-calculus concepts, algebraic thinking and quantitative reasoning. Since CEGEP is a system unique to Quebec, I want to understand students' difficulties and help teachers adjust their practices accordingly. Supervisor: Limin Jao
