Francesca Capozzi

Francesca Capozzi obtained a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Torino, Italy, in 2016. Since then, she has worked as a postdoctoral researcher and course instructor at McGill University. Her research focused on non-verbal communication during social interactions with an emphasis on non-verbal cues signaling leadership and cooperation. She is currently a clinical trainee in the Couple and Family Therapy program at the School of Social Work, McGill University, and an intern at the McGill University Sexual Identity Centre (MUSIC). Her clinical interests continue revolving around how individual and social power are negotiated in significant interactions and how cooperation and affective proximity shape our life in an attachment, emotion-based framework.
