Biography: 

Dr. Starr is a Montreal psychologist with degrees from McGill and UQAM. Her research centers around building a home for psychology in the arts and humanities, through conversation, reading, writing, teaching, supervising and psychotherapy.

Dr. Starr works with adults grappling with a variety of issues ranging from grief to anxiety, from psychotic disorders to problems with work stress. Working through responses to trauma in its many forms is an important aspect of her practice. Her clinical approach is intersubjective, which essentially means that she takes an active role with the patient in making sense of experiences as they arise in therapy, revealing new understandings and possibilities for living. She is currently training in Somatic Experiencing.
