Amin Emad
Assistant Professor
Amin Emad is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). Before joining McGill in 2018, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Computer Science and Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois (UIUC). He received his PhD from UIUC (2015), his MSc from University of Alberta (2009) and his BSc from Sharif University of Technology (2007), all in electrical engineering. His research interests include Machine Learning, Bioinformatics and Data Science, with a focus on developing novel computational methods to address various problems in biology and medicine.
