Accreditation

McGill University’s Faculty of Engineering offers 10 undergraduate programs, all of which are accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB).
To maintain accreditation for our programs, the CEAB obliges institutions to demonstrate that graduates of each program possess the following 12 graduate attributes:

1) A knowledge base for engineering
2) Problem analysis
3) Investigation
4) Design
5) Use of engineering tools
6) Individual and teamwork
7) Communication skills
8) Professionalism
9) Impact of engineering on society and the environment
10) Ethics and equity
11) Economics and project management
12) Life-long learning

Moreover, the institutions are obliged to implement processes in which program outcomes are assessed in the context of graduate attributes, and that the results of these assessments are applied to the further improve the program.
