Drama and Theatre Option

This list comprises 2017-18 courses in other departments that might be accepted by your advisor for credit towards your Drama and Theatre program.

This list applies only to these courses as they are offered in 2015-16. Do not take these courses in a different year and assume that they will count towards your Drama and Theatre program; please check the list for the year in which you took the course.

There might be other courses in the Faculty of Arts for which you could receive Drama and Theatre program credit. If you feel you have identified a course with a strong Drama and Theatre methodology and/or list of readings, you must show your advisor the course syllabus in advance and, if he or she agrees, get the advisor’s initialled approval of the course on your program Audit Sheet.

Courses are listed first by Drama and Theatre program requirements they fulfil and thereafter in alphabetical order by department.

The online Faculty of Arts course catalogue for 2017-18 can be found here: https://www.mcgill.ca/english/undergrad/2017-2018-undergraduate-courses

Please verify the terms in which courses are offered (Fall or Winter) on the Department of English website: https://www.mcgill.ca/english/undergrad/2017-2018-undergraduate-courses

Other ENGL courses than those listed here may sometimes fulfill the program requirements given below. If you note a course not listed that seems to fulfill a given requirement, please see an advisor.
