Alternative Spring Break takes place during McGill’s Reading Week, engaging students with five days of volunteering, learning, and interacting with the local communities. Students immerse themselves in social justice topics by working with Montreal-based groups and organizations
How ASB Works
Students interested in participating in Alternative Spring break apply to the program.
Once selected, students will receive an orientation and get prepared for volunteering at community organizations for the week.
After spending a week at various community organizations, students will have a chance to reflect on the social issues making each organization necessary and how they can continue to be engaged in the Montreal community.
