The full day of presentations and group sessions will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Jillian Kinzie, Associate Director for the Center for Postsecondary Research and the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Institute at Indiana University Bloomington. Dr. Kinzie will present a thought-provoking session on student engagement, with special emphasis on ways to promote and sustain student success and well-being.

The day-long conference is designed to identify challenges and to develop toolkits for students as they navigate their McGill experience.

As a tribute to the Beatles 50th year in North America, your day will include:

1.       Magical Mystery Tour

A morning plenary intended to frame the concept of student engagement and its extensive impact on the student life cycle - from prospects to alumni.

2.       Across The Universe

An opportunity to hear about best practices in student engagement at North American universities and at McGill.

3.       Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da

De-coding and voicing the McGill experience from both the student and university perspective.

4.       Twist and Shout

Identifying pressure points and barriers to engagement for students, professors and service staff.

5.       We Can Work It Out

Navigating the McGill experience and developing toolkits to address engagement challenges and issues.
