Current research:

The overarching theme of my research program is “Immunometabolism and Host-Patogen Interactions” and currently is based on two umbrella projects: (1) Helminth-derived Molecules Modulating Host Immune System, and (2) Metabolic Kinetics of Myeloid Cells During Inflammatory Responses and Resolution.

Projects:
  1. Neutrophil immunometabolism as a therapeutic target to treat chronic inflammation
  2. Helminth-derived metabolites modulate innate immune cell responses
  3. Microbiome mediation of pathogen virulence through aromatic compound metabolism
