Current research:

Transcriptional and epigenetic control of hematopoietic differentiation, Leukemia and lymphoma, inherited blood disorders, signaling pathways in hematopoietic cells, mouse models, next generation sequencing methods.

The primary goal of our research is to understand how the process of production and differentiation of blood and immune cells is normally regulated. We are interested how defects in this regulation can lead to blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma and other diseases of the blood including neutropenia, myelodysplastic syndrome and platelet deficiencies. In our research program, we focus on the role of transcription factors and epigenetic regulators that can modify chromatin and gene expression programs
