The McGill Department of Family Medicine presents “Patient Engagement in Primary Health Care Research: Practical Applications and Challenges” by Anne Marie Chomat MD PhD MPH.

Dr. Chomat is a post-doctoral Health Systems Impact Fellow in Participatory Research at McGill (PRAM) in the Department of Family Medicine. Her current transdisciplinary research, funded by Grand Challenges Canada, a GCC Transition-to-Scale award, and a Gates Grand Challenges Explorations, addresses maternal and child outcomes of a community-based, participatory group psychosocial intervention with Maya women, men, youth and elders in the Western Highlands of Guatemala. She leads the McGill’s researcher-patient dyad funded by RUIS in Quebec and she convenes the McGill Patient Engagement Network involving over a dozen clinical and research teams across the University.
