Seminar: CIET-PRAM hosts Germán Zuluaga, who will speak on Intercultural Health Research

CIET-PRAM will be hosting Germán Zuluaga, a Colombian physician, epidemiologist and director of the Center for Intercultural Health Studies (bio below) for 3 weeks in April/May. 

Germán will present on Intercultural Health Research on May 1 from 12:00-1:30 at the Department of Family Medicine 3rd floor, 5858 Cotes-des-Neiges. Lunch will be provided at the meeting. Please RSVP to 514-399-9138.

The presentation will be in Spanish with English slides. Questions can be in English or Spanish. 

Germán Zuluaga is a Colombian physician and epidemiologist based at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, where he directs the Centre for Intercultural Health Studies (CEMI).  His professional practice over two decades has included dialogue with and studies under the guidance of traditional healers, building a bridge between their science and Western sciences. After completing his medical education, he studied ecology, anthropology and ethnobotany. He has published a dozen books on the application of these disciplines to intercultural health research.
