From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Du samedi 5 octobre au lundi 7 octobre, le campus du centre-ville et le campus Macdonald ne seront accessibles qu’aux étudiants et aux membres du personnel de l’Université McGill, ainsi qu’aux visiteurs essentiels. Elena Bennett among McGill professors honoured as Montreal ambassadors

The Palais des congrès de Montréal honoured five McGill professors at its 2024 ambassadors’ gala for their exceptional contributions to the city’s economic and societal growth. Although there are a few other professors among the total of 14, McGill alone can boast of multiple honourees.

The basis for earning the kudos is the ability to organize large-scale events in Montreal. 

Elena Bennett, professor in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences, was recognized as an organizer of the Programme for Ecosystem Change and Society, also known as of the PEC-3. It’s taking place in August 2024.
