We are pleased to accommodate any downtown residence student on the mandatory meal plan who keeps Kosher and follows strict dietary restrictions according to Jewish Law.

How it works
The Kosher Meal Plan has the same cost as the All You Care To Eat mandatory meal plan but it is a declining balance meal plan on the oneCard account:
$3,450 due at the end of September
(Half of the total Kosher Meal Plan oneCard dollars & mandatory $500 residence oneCard dollars)
$2,850 due at the end of January
(Half of the total Kosher Meal Plan oneCard dollars)
- The amount deducted at the dining halls is determined by the meal period:
- Breakfast: $9.95
- Lunch: $12.95
- Dinner: $14.95
- The oneCard account allows you to eat Kosher meals at our off-campus Jewish/Kosher food location Le PlezL/ Chabad House
Terms of the Plan
- The meal plan is active as of August 17, 2024 and expires on April 30, 2025
Cancellation Policy
Unused funds in the Kosher Meal Plan do not carryover and are not refundable. Refunds are only granted if a student withdraws from McGill University or residences. In such circumstances, the prorated amount of the meal plan will be calculated up to the departure date and will be reimburse the student as per the following guidelines.
Fall Semester 2024 Deadline Withdrawal Date from residences - November 1, 2024
Students who submit a written confirmation to housing.residences [at] mcgill.ca of their withdrawal from the university or residences on or before November 1st, 2024, will have the prorated value of the meal plan calculated and refunded up to their last day, minus $150 administration fee.
No refund will be paid after November 1st, 2024.
Winter Semester 2025 Deadline Withdrawal Date from residences - March 1, 2025
Students who submit a written confirmation to housing.residences [at] mcgill.ca of their withdrawal from the university or residences on or before March 1, 2025 will have the prorated value of the meal plan calculated and refunded up to their last day, refunded, minus $150 administration fee.
No refund will be paid after March 1st, 2025.
