Dr. Elias Kumbakumba is a pediatrician who trained at Makerere University in Kampala.  He is currently an associate prof. in the Dept of Pediatrics, Mabarara University of Science and Technology.  For the past 10 years he has been partnering with researchers at McGill and UBC on child survival interventions and early child development.

McGill University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
