Established in 2015 and co-sponsored by McGill Global Health Programs, there will be up to 3 Travel awards up to $1,500/each for the Fall 2018 term. These awards are specifically for trainees (students and postdoctoral fellows) in the fields of Tuberculosis and other mycobacterial research, and will be used for traveling (e.g. registration and travel expenses) to present their own research at national and international scientific meetings and/or conferences. Applications are twice per year.
1. Only students and postdocs who are members of the McGill International TB Centre are eligible to apply.
2. Students whose target conference is scheduled in October or November 2018 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
A poster presentation of research or activities for which the travel award was given must be presented on Global Health Night and TB Centre Trainee Research Day (TBD)
McGill University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. McGill honours, recognizes, and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which peoples of the world now gather. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
