Global Health Month: Tackling TB: Bridging the Divide Between Innovation and Access

On Thursday March 23rd, Universities Allied for Essential Medicines will hold a half-day conference in honour of World TB Day. Following the keynote address by Stephen Lewis, Part I will highlight problems around access to drugs and diagnostics for TB. Part II will feature a panel focused on potential solutions along the research and development continuum – from bench to bedside. The interdisciplinary panel will discuss the potential role of alternative research and licensing frameworks as well as stakeholders across the public and private sectors.

This event will be co-hosted by McGill Global Health Programs, the McGill International TB Centre, Médecins Sans Frontières Canada, the McGill Institute for the Study of International Development and AIDS-Free World.
