Dialogue Space: a gendered approach

We are a group of researchers in the field of Global Mental Health concerned with issues related to gender equity and the unique experiences of women working in the field of Global Health. Our interest is broad but especially in the area of Mental Health and its intersection with gender and culture.  Our aim is to generate knowledge, encourage innovation, and create momentum in research and development for and about gender equity in Global Mental Health.

Our premise is that gendered perspectives are unique and valuable. We believe these perspectives bring added value to research and development, will bring equilibrium to currently endorsed processes of knowledge construction, and will enhance social change.

The Dialogue Space is designed as an initiative for the exploration and exchange of ideas. Our activities include exploration and generation of new knowledge as well as an examination of existing knowledge that could lead to radical innovations in the field. We encourage debate and collaborations that are inclusive of all sex and genders for mutual learning.
