Degree Progress

All graduate students must ensure that they are aware of when they will reach the time limit for completing their degree requirements, and of how enforcement of the Time Limitation Policy could affect them. As taking time away from their studies can affect their time to completion, students should also make sure they are aware of the policies and procedures concerning leave and vacation. Those who wish to graduate in a particular term should make sure that they knowand meetthe associated deadlines for degree milestones.

There are many ways in which supervisors and students can work together to keep studies on track, including identifying research objectives and milestones and tracking research progress.

Under certain circumstances, academically promising students registered in Master’s programs can proceed directly to Doctoral studies without completing the requirements for the Master’s degree. For more information, please refer to fast tracking and back tracking
