Program Description
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Experimental Surgery offered by the Department of Surgical and Interventional Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences is a research-intensive program that emphasizes cutting-edge and engaging learning opportunities. - Faculty members conduct research in: injury, repair, recovery, tissue engineering, transplantation, fibrosis, cancer and stem cell biology, biomechanics, organ failure, surgical stimulation, surgical innovation, education, and evaluative/outcomes research.
