Cristina Carnemolla is an Assistant Professor of Italian and Hispanic Studies in the Language, Literatures, and Cultures Department.
Her research focuses on nineteenth-century realist and naturalist novels with a comparative interest in the Italian, Spanish, Peruvian, and Argentine traditions.
When I was completing my Ph.D. at Duke University, I had the opportunity to have a mentor who helped me navigating the job market as well as the transition from being a student to becoming a faculty member. Now, it is my turn to help doctoral students in this transition and share with them techniques to manage stress, time, and expectations in such a tough moment.
