From presentations to papers and blogs, science communication serves an important role in informing the public and building engagement in research. Creating and sharing communications that reach and resonate with diverse audiences are crucial to promoting accurate information and generating interest in research involvement.

Join Falisha Karpati, PhD for this 2-hour virtual workshop to learn inclusive language to use in communications related to science and research, discuss accessible formatting of content, such as figures and text, and explore practices to actively promote equity through your communications. The workshop will be interactive, including a combination of speaker presentation, guided individual activities and small group discussion (optional).

This workshop is open to all and relevant for anyone involved in sharing research-related communications, including students, postdocs, faculty, research staff and communications staff.
