HBHL welcomes Denis Leclerc as Managing Director and CEO

Healthy Brains for Healthy Lives (HBHL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Denis Leclerc, Managing Director and CEO. 

Denis comes to McGill University after more than two decades working in senior administrative roles in the academic, non-profit and the federal government sectors. Most recently, Denis served as Deputy Director of the Tri-agency Institutional Programs Secretariat, where he led the development and implementation of several high profile research grant programs, including the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF) and Canada 150 Research Chairs. Prior to this, Denis was Deputy Director of Policy Development and Strategic Planning at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) in the Research Grants and Scholarships Division, where he provided strategic guidance to the VP-Research Grants and Governing Council regarding key policies, programs, and initiatives.

In his new role as Managing Director, Denis will be responsible for carrying forward the strategic vision of the HBHL initiative while overseeing the ongoing implementation of a set of complex, high profile funding programs and innovation partnerships within the neuroscience and related communities at McGill, in Canada and beyond.
