Under pressure: Stress management for better brain health

When: Thursday, February 7 from 12-1:30pm

Where: Research Commons A, McLennan Library

How does stress affect the brain and behaviour? What can you do to reduce and manage stress?

At this workshop, Dr. Anna Weinberg (Canada Research Chair in Clinical Neuroscience, Assistant Professor of Psychology at McGill) will discuss the neuroscience of stress as well as research-supported tips for stress management. Following the talk, stress researcher Aislinn Sandre (PhD candidate in Psychology) will lead an interactive discussion and activities focused on real-world application of the presented research.

A light lunch will be provided. The workshop will be targeted to students and postdocs, but all are welcome.

This workshop is full. Please email falisha.karpati [at] mcgill.ca if you would like to be added to the waiting list.

We would like to acknowledge that McGill University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabeg nations. McGill honours, recognizes and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we meet.
