Capitalizing on the unprecedented interest generated by Wampum: Beads of Diplomacy, the McCord Museum is organizing a symposium devoted to these cultural objects, bringing together a dozen Indigenous, Quebecois, Canadian and international specialists.
These experts from various fields of research and intervention, will discuss the social, political and religious practices surrounding wampum in six seminars, presented over two days, through the prism of their multidisciplinary perspectives.
