"Challenges and Rewards of Teaching Comparative Law in the Commonwealth Caribbean"

The Institute of Comparative Law was pleased to host a short talk delivered by Prof. Asya Ostroukh, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus, Barbados), titled “Challenges and Rewards of Teaching Comparative Law in the Commonwealth Caribbean”.  Dr. Ostroukh will be discussing her experience in teaching Comparative Law to the students from the Commonwealth Caribbean, with an emphasis on how the local geography, legal history, economic and political situation shape the choice of topics, reading materials and methodological approaches in teaching Comparative law. This experience will be compared with the tradition of teaching comparative law in Europe, US and Canada.
