Erik Driessen is a Professor in Medical Education and Chair of the Department of Educational Development and Research in the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, at Maastricht University. He is also the Editor-in-Chief for the journal Perspectives on Medical Education. Dr. Driessen’s current research and development interests include learning and assessment in the workplace as well as education across different cultures. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters. In 2016, he was appointed an Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators in the United Kingdom. In 2017, he was appointed Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.
