McGill IHSP Housing, Health and Policy Conference 2019

May 23-24th, 2019

McGill Faculty Club
3450 McTavish St, Montréal, Quebec H3A 1X9

On May 23-24, 2019, the McGill Institute for Health and Social Policy (IHSP) will host a conference and conversation on Housing, Health, and Policy. Housing is rapidly becoming a top policy priority in Canada. Canada’s housing challenges are immense and there is good evidence of strong links between housing and both physical and mental health across the life course. Urgent action is needed that spans multiple sectors, and especially at the intersection of housing and health. The 2019 IHSP Housing, Health and Policy Conference is a timely and important opportunity to contribute to innovative research, policy and discussion on these topics. This conference is jointly chaired by Prof. Mylène Riva, Canada Research Chair in Housing, Community and Health, and Assistant Professor at McGill University, jointly appointed at the IHSP and Geography Department, and by Prof. James R. Dunn Professor, Department of Health, Aging & Society at McMaster University and Senator William McMaster Chair in Urban Health Equity. Conference co-sponsors include the William McMaster Chair in Urban Health Equity, McMaster University, and the McGill Institute for the Study of Canada. PLEASE REGISTER HERE!
