Joelle Majeau

Biography:
Joelle Majeau is a mixed Cree-Métis/settler from central Alberta, where her family traditionally comes from the Lac Ste Anne and Lac La Biche communities. She grew up just outside of Edmonton, and has spent the last twelve years in Vancouver where she graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Indigenous Studies. Joelle worked for the Squamish Nation’s Employment & Training Department, and the Simon Fraser Student Society as an Indigenous student group coordinator before moving to Tiohtià:ke in 2023. Joelle is now the Outreach Administrator for the Indigenous Health Professions Program for the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences.
