McGill Innovation Fund (MIF) 3.0 Launch

The application window for the 3rd round of the McGill Innovation Fund (MIF) will open on September 25th, and to kick things off we will be holding a launch event Thursday, September 21 at 5:00 PM at the Faculty Club.

Our guest speaker for this event will be Maxime Ranger. As a serial entrepreneur, Maxime has played a leading role in the creation and management of several companies inculding Mperia therapeutics, Inversago Pharma and Neurasic Therapeutics, to name a few. He is an active contributor to the Quebec biotech ecosystem through his participation and leadership in Montreal InVivo committees, in addition to being an adjunct professor at the Pharmacy School of the University of Montreal. He is currently Executive Chairman of Giiant Pharma, after more than 2 years as CEO. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from Laval University and performed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University. In addition, he completed a joint Executive MBA at UQAM and Université Paris-Dauphine.

We will also reveal details of our new supplemental AMR award for $75,000, sponsored by the McGill Antimicrobial Resistance Centre. AMR Centre Director Dao Nguyen will present more about the centre and the award.
