Andrea Gabor/Urban Strategies TISED Fellowship in Sustainable Urban Planning and Design

Established in 2016 by Urban Strategies Inc. , a planning and urban design firm based in Toronto, to honour the memory of Andrea Gabor, BA 1974, MUP 1976, for outstanding graduate students at the School of Urban Planning under the guidance of a TISED member.

Eligibility Awarded on the basis of academic merit by the Faculty of Engineering in consultation with the School of Urban Planning.

Brenda and Samuel Gewurz Fellowships in Urban Planning

Established in 2009 by Brenda Gewurz, B.Sc. 1968, M.Sc. 1970, and Samuel Gewurz, B.A. 1961.

Eligibility For outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research in the area of Urban Planning within the Faculty of Engineering. Awarded on the basis of academic merit by the Faculty of Engineering.

Established in 1994 in honour of David Farley, first Director of the School of Urban Planning.

Eligibility Awarded to a student at the end of his/her graduate studies, based on academic achievement, by GPS on the recommendation of the School of Urban Planning.

Harold Spence-Sales Prize in Urban Planning

Established by graduates and friends of the School of Urban Planning to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of urban planning education in Canada at McGill University by Professor Harold Spence-Sales.

Eligibility Awarded to a student entering the second year of graduate studies, based on academic achievement, by the School of Urban Planning.

Established in 2001 through a major donation by a Hong Kong graduate of the Chemical Engineering Class of 1959.
