Royal Victoria Hospital at the Glen Yards

  • The newest of the three McGill teaching sites, “the Glen” opened its doors in April 2015. As Montreal’s first ‘superhospital’ it comprises several facilities in one state-of-the-art leaning environment and will serve to educate and train residents from McGill’s Internal Medicine and Pediatrics departments, as well as the various subspecialty fellowships.

Montreal General Hospital

  • Originally founded in 1821, the Montreal General Hospital (MGH) is the major trauma centre on the island of Montreal.

    • Cardiology (electrophysiology)
    • Gastroenterology (inflammatory bowel diseases)

Jewish General Hospital

  • The JGH is home to the most multicultural patient population in the city, and with it a wide array of clinical presentations and pathology. 
  • Founded in 1934, the JGH has undergone several additions since that time. The newest addition, Pavillion K, is currently home to a state-of-the-art emergency room and will soon be home to a brand new Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, and Internal Medicine Clinical Teaching Units (to open in early 2016).
