Sebastian Ballesteros est né dans une petite ville au Mexique. Il a décidé de déposer une demande d’admission à l’Université McGill après avoir fini ses études secondaires.  Il a été toujours passionné par la technologie, les mathématiques et les sciences. Lorsqu’il poursuivait un baccalauréat ès sciences en génie informatique à l'Université McGill, Sebastian s’est joint au Canadian Centre for Computational Genomics en tant que stagiaire en 2020. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme, il a rejoint l'équipe en tant que développeur de logiciels en travaillant sur des projets tels que EpiShare, Bento et FreezeMan. Il contribue au développement et à la mise en œuvre des solutions logicielles avec de multiples technologies.

Sebastian Ballesteros was born in a small city in Mexico, and he decided to apply to McGill University after graduating from high school. He has always been passionate about new technologies, math, and sciences. While pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering at McGill University, Sebastian joined the Canadian Centre for Computational Genomics as an intern in 2020. After graduation, he joined the team as a Software Developer working in projects such as EpiShare, Bento and FreezeMan, which involve genomic and epigenomic data. He contributes to the development and implementation of software solutions in multiple technologies.
