How to Plan Your Life: Create Your IDP (for Faculty of Medicine Students)
An Individual Development Plan (IDP) is a tailored roadmap that guides you from where you are now to where you want to be. By laying out a clear plan of action through self-discovery and reflection, the development of an IDP helps you set goals for short- and long-term milestones or achievements you wish to make during your studies and career. Even if you already have a good sense of your overall objectives for your studies or career (e.g. publish more papers, get a career in industry, or complete your candidacy), an IDP can help you identify the specific steps that you will need to accomplish to realize these objectives and will allow you to track your progress to your goals.
This 2 part workshop will guide you through the myPath workbook in an interactive, classroom style format. In part 1, participants reflect on their skills and interests and start building ideas for future goals. In part 2, participants will articulate their priorities for the next year, and develop an action plan. Participants will leave with a completed IDP (Individual Development Plan). This workshop will be geared specifically towards Faculty of Medicine graduate students.
This is a 2-part workshop, by registering for this workshop, you are agreeing to attend both sessions:
- Part 1 is taking place on November 14, 2019 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM in McIntyre room 208/9,
