Friday, September 13, 2024 10:00to11:30
Industry and Non-Academic CVs - Grad Edition

Grad students go on to work in a wide range of industries beyond academia. An industry or non-academic CV (also known as a resume outside Quebec) highlights your transferrable skills and experience in ways that will be legible to employers outside higher education.

By attending this session, you will:

  • Learn best practices for industry resumes/CVs and understand what recruiters are looking for in those sections
  • Practice translating academic experience and skills for an industry audience by refining a line of your CV to better communicate your potential
  • Find out how to tailor CVs/resumes for specific roles
