Equity 101: At McGill & Beyond

Wednesday, January 23, 2019 15:00to16:30
McLennan Library Building 3459 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0C9, CA

This 90-minute workshop is designed to give undergraduate students a “101” understanding of equity and how society is shaped by power and different systems of oppression. During this session, participants will explore and discuss language, scenarios, and the ways in which (in)equity impacts our lives as individuals and communities. Participants will be encouraged to self-reflect, share experiences, and leave asking more questions. Strategies and tools for working towards equity will also be shared so that together we can all take action for social justice and change at McGill and beyond.
