L’entreprise MRM Proteomics se prépare à analyser, dès qu’elle obtiendra les approbations, une quarantaine d’échantillons sanguins par jour provenant de personnes atteintes de la COVID-19. Son but : trouver des biomarqueurs dans la concentration de protéines et de métabolites dans le sang pour mettre au point un test en mesure de prédire les séquelles de la maladie que le patient risque d’éprouver après son hospitalisation. « Si vous le savez, vous pouvez réaliser un suivi plus serré », explique Christoph Borchers, professeur à l’Université McGill et chef de la direction scientifique de MRM Proteomics.

We are proud to be part of the Montreal Cancer Consortium (MCC) that has been recently funded by the Terry Fox Foundation and other co-funders. “Working together, the MCC researchers will also aim to better understand how various aspects of the immune system relate to acute leukemia and why therapy works for some patients but not others.
