Thank you for your interest in the McGill B.C.L. / LL.B. program.
Admission to our program is based on a number of requirements.
The first admission decisions are made at the end of December, and the process continues until July. Every effort is made to inform candidates of the Admissions Committee's decision at the earliest possible date. Students placed on the waiting list may even get an answer as late as August (depending on how late a place is suddenly freed up).
Because of the large volume of applications received, decisions on files completed on or near their applications deadline can take some time to reach.
Because we only send files with completed supporting documents to the Admissions Committee, make sure you have submitted all your documents and that your application is complete.
To find out the status of your file on Minerva, see our Admissions process page. You can also consult the Admissions Process section in the F.A.Q.. McGill's Future Students page also has a page about Knowing your application status.
Non-Canadian applicants should contact the Canadian Embassy in their home country at least one year prior to program starting date to find out if they need student visas, medical examinations, etc. The McGill International Student Services provide valuable information about this, along with a Pre-Departure Guide that can be downloaded.
