The McGill Journal of Sustainable Development Law is pleased to welcome Catherine Abreu, Executive Director of Climate Action Network (CAN), and Eddy Pérez, International Policy Analyst at CAN, to the Faculty of Law. The Journal provides a forum to exchange ideas on the intersection between law, development, the environment, economics, and society.

The conference will nurture reflection on the most recent developments in international climate commitments: the 24th Conference of the Parties (COP24) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), held in Poland last month, and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) 2018 report.

Catherine Abreu and Eddy Pérez took part in the events in Poland, and Catherine Abreu acted as head of delegation for international organizations, non-States actors, for the acceptance of the IPCC report. They will share the most significant measures proposed in these contexts.
