Shakespeare Moot

Friday, April 5, 2019 13:00to15:30
Chancellor Day Hall Maxwell Cohen Moot Court (NCDH 100), 3644 rue Peel, Montreal, QC, H3A 1W9, CA

The McGill Shakespeare Moot Court is back after a long hiatus!

The issue before the Court of Shakespeare this year is what constitutes "consent" for an Alzheimer's patient seeking medical aid in dying.

The fact pattern can be found on the Shakespear Moot project website: A Question of Consent: Violette and Normand Leblanc v The Miranda Hospital of Hope.

The Shakespeare Moot is open to students, faculty, and the general public: come hear the mooting teams make their oral arguments, using only the texts of William Shakespeare as the source of a law, before a bench composed of Jennifer Drouin, Vincent Forray, Marie Manikis (Faculty of Law), and Paul Yachnin (Dept. of English).
