The Faculty is delighted to announce that Professor Hoi Kong was awarded the Principal’s Prize in Teaching Excellence during Law’s Fall Convocation ceremony on November 2.

Professor Kong is an outstanding teacher and a leader who fosters critical and creative reflection on legal education and pedagogy at the Faculty of Law. As his teaching evaluations show, he is adept at engaging his students in the learning process -- and maintaining that engagement -- through his unique, multifaceted pedagogical approach and his availability to students. In his classes, he promotes a climate of mutual respect, honest discussion and inclusiveness, as he pushes his students to become independent learners.

In the past 18 months, Professor Kong also adroitly shepherded the Faculty’s curricular renewal that will benefit law students for decades to come.

The Faculty warmly congratulates Professor Kong on this well-deserved recognition!
