Ignacio Cofone's research explores how private law regulates information and what are the social consequences of these regulatory choices. Bringing together information privacy, contract law, and behavioral economics, his work has been published in law journals in Europe, South America, and the United States.
Fabien Gélinas named Norton Rose Fulbright Faculty Scholar in Arbitration & Commercial Law

The Faculty of Law places 23rd worldwide, up two from 2017 in QS World University Rankings
In the 2018 World University Rankings by Subject published by Quacquarelli Symonds, McGill University’s Faculty of Law placed 23rd best place to study law worldwide, slightly up from the 25th rank in 2017. Since the ranking was introduced by QS in 2011, the Faculty of Law has consistently secured a spot in the global top 35. The QS ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, H-index citations, and citations per paper.
New Alumni Relations and Career Development Office staff members
The Faculty of Law is pleased to welcome four new staff members in its administrative team. Three new people have joined our University Advancement team, in charge of promoting engagement within our alumni community and fundraising for Faculty priorities.
