International Clerkships Program 2024-2025 - CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

McGill’s Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP) is currently accepting applications for:
a 12-month clerkship at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA); a 10-month clerkship at the International Court of Justice (ICJ); a 4-month clerkship at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR).The clerkships are due to start in September 2024.

This is an open call for blog posts. The CHRLP invites as wide a diversity of voices as possible to submit posts on critical questions touching on the above theme. We also welcome submissions about human rights and (or) legal pluralism more broadly.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to welcome two accomplished jurists as visitors for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Mtre Tamara Thermitus, Ad E, LLM’13, joined us as Boulton Senior Fellow on 1 September, and will be visiting until 31 August.
Hugo B. Lafrenière, BCL/LLB’15, joined us as Boulton Junior Fellow on 1 August, and will be visiting until 31 July.

Lara Khoury awarded prestigious CBA Prize
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Lara Khoury, Ad E, has received the 2023 Ramon John Hnatyshyn Award for Law of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA).
She was presented with an engraved bronze medallion designed by the Governor General’s Office of Heraldry at the CBA President’s Dinner in Ottawa on 21 June.

Daniel Weinstock appointed to the Order of Canada
The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Daniel Weinstock, CM, has been named a member of the Order of Canada. His appointment was announced by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, on 30 June.

Adelle Blackett honoured for scholarship, teaching, and social justice commitment
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Adelle Blackett, FRSC, Ad E, has received a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, from Simon Fraser University (SFU). The honorary degree was bestowed upon her on 9 June at SFU’s Spring Convocation ceremony.
