Megan Bradley (RGGJ) awarded 2020 Principal’s Prize for Outstanding Emerging Researchers

Congratulations to Megan Bradley for being the recipient of the 2020 Principal’s Prize for Outstanding Emerging Researchers! This prize, which comes with a $5000 award, was created in 2013 to encourage and celebrate McGill’s most outstanding early-career researchers.   Megan has been a member of the Research Group on Global Justice (RGGJ) of the Lin Centre since 2015. She is an Associate Professor of Political Science and of the Institute for the Study of International Development (ISID). Her research focuses on refugees and internal displacement, humanitarianism, human rights, and efforts to redress massive injustices. Her latest book is The International Organization for Migration: Challenges, Commitments, Complexities (Routledge, February 2020). Megan’s previous books include Refugee Repatriation: Justice, Responsibility and Redress (Cambridge University Press, 2013), and Forced Migration, Reconciliation and Justice (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2015). She has also worked with organizations concerned with development, human rights and humanitarianism, including the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). She has been a Fellow in the Foreign Policy Program at the Brookings Institution (2012-14), and served as the Cadieux-Léger Fellow at Global Affairs Canada.   As an active member of the RGGJ, she participated in the 2018 RGGJ conference, ‘New Directions in Global Justice,’ jointly held with the KFG “Justitia Amplificata” (Freie U. Berlin and Goethe U. Frankfurt), in December 2018, in Berlin, Germany; and she was a co-organizer of the SSHRC-funded 2019 RGGJ conference, ‘The Margins of Accountability,’ held in March, 2019, in Toronto, Canada, in conjunction with the International Studies Association annual meeting.
