Lister Family Engaged Science Photography Workshop Series III

Monday, November 5, 2018 15:00to16:30
Macdonald-Stewart Building Macdonald Showcase Permaculture Garden (or MS2-022 in case of rain), 21111 Lakeshore Road, St Anne de Bellevue, QC, H9X 3V9, CA

Three interactive workshops explore the challenges of photography in various scientific workplaces: presentation/meeting, laboratory and plants. Join us for 1, 2 or all 3 workshops and discover the power of photography to tell your science story! Improve your science photos with professional photographer and instructor Avi Charszan of Red Button PHOTO.

Workshop #1 will highlight tips and strategies to capture the intensity of a brainstorm session, the passion of the speaker, the engagement of the audience during science meeting events. In the second workshop we set the stage in the laboratory and consider how to capture lab science in action with a still photo. For workshop #3 we will head outdoors to the Macdonald Permaculture Garden to photograph plants in an ecologically intact setting.
