Macdonald Campus Parents Welcome Weekend 2024
Every year, Parents Welcome Weekend welcomes thousands of parents, guardians and incoming students from around the world to McGill’s campus to kick off the university experience.
Saturday, August 17
Parents Welcome Weekend provides an opportunity for new students and their parents to get answers to pressing questions, learn about campus services, and connect with other McGill and Macdonald Campus families. Join us on campus on Saturday, August 17 to explore.
What to expect
- Booths for our on-campus resources: Student Services, Athletics, Residence Life/Swap Tent, Le James bookstore and more
- Booths for restaurants, clothing stores, boutiques, and more from the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue
- Free refreshments and a chance to win raffle prizes
- Swag, networking and more!
Tours of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue
Be sure to sign up for one of our guided walking tours of the town of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, offered at 10:30am and 1:30pm. Both tours will meet at the Parents Tent.
Sunday, August 18: Housing event
The housing team will be holding a welcome event for parents and students on Sunday, August 18th. Details will be emailed to incoming Macdonald Campus residents in the coming weeks.
Monday, August 19: Parents session on navigating wellness at McGill
From 11am to 12pm, the Student Wellness Hub invites all new McGill families to campus to learn about the variety of health services available to support students' physical and mental health.
