McGill University is once again very pleased to deliver its Conference on Global Food Security, with an exciting program and a gathering of distinguished international experts who will explore strategies and solutions against food insecurity and hunger.

The Conference opens with a Public Lecture on Tuesday October 28 at 6:30 pm at McGill’s New Residence Hall with leading specialists in the field of food security.  Also held at McGill’s New Residence Hall, Conference presentations and discussions on October 29 seek to address the present challenges associated with strategies against food insecurity and hunger.  Participants attending the conference, which include representatives from government, students, academics, the private sector, national and international non-governmental agencies, and civil society, will have the opportunity to be part of the unveiling of a new era in which improved nutrition status of global populations is driven by agriculture as its sole raison d’être.

The 2014 McGill Conference on Global Food Security provides a unique forum to foster a global paradigm shift towards understanding and commitment to reduce hunger and malnutrition. This is truly an exceptional opportunity to be part of a recognized and well-established international event on global food security.
