Sinan Abi Farraj named among 50 finalists for McCall MacBain Scholarship
Sinan Abi Farraj, a senior Materials Engineering Undergraduate student, has been named among the 50 finalists for the inaugural McCall MacBain Scholarship, Canada’s first comprehensive leadership-based scholarship for master’s and professional studies. From over 735 applicants, 50 finalists were selected, chosen based on their character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength and intellectual curiosity.

Second Annual Reception Honoring Professor Phil Distin's Memory
On Thursday November 7, 2019, we came together for the second annual reception honoring Professor Phil Distin’s memory. This year, students were actively involved in organizing the event as Phil would have liked to see. Students, staff, alumni and friends had the opportunity to share food bites-including oysters, have a drink or two all while Phil’s favorite piano music played.
