Mathematics & Statistics Graduate Student Seminar: Cryptography

Friday, February 1, 2019 13:00to14:00
Burnside Hall Room 1025, 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 0B9, CA

Hi, everyone,

The Mathematics & Statistics Graduate Student Seminar will convene for our first talk of the semester at 1:00pm this Friday, February 1, in the Main Lounge (Burnside 1025). As usual, there will be pizza.

This week, Megan Roda will tell us some more about cryptography:

Were you inspired by Wissam's talk on crypto? Want to learn more plus some extra history?! Well, look no further. I will discuss more of the foundations of crypto, public key crypto (which is more mathematically intense than private key), WWII crypto, and maybe some more post-quantum stuff!
